The central scene depicts the pivotal moment when Arahat Mahinda arrived at Mihintale under the full moon and met King Devanampiyatissa.
The illustration is framed by side panels that bring the "true meaning" to the forefront: one highlighting Wise Discrimination through the Cula Hatthipadopama Sutta (the very first sermon preached at Mihintale), and the other showcasing Compassion via the Nigrodhamiga Jataka.

✝️🍃සැබෑ ආදරය කියන්නේ අසීමිත කැපකිරීමකට ✝️🍃

අද වගේ දවසක ලෝකයම නිහඬ වෙන්නේ එක් උතුම් මනුෂ්‍යත්වයක මතකය මෙනෙහි කරන්නයි.

තමන්ට රිද්දපු අය වෙනුවෙන් පවා කුරුසිය මත හිඳ "සමාව දුන මැනව" යැයි කියන්නට තරම් උන්වහන්සේ තුළ තිබූ ඒ අපිරිමිත ආදරය සහ ඉවසීම අදටත් අපේ ජීවිතවලට ලොකු පාඩමක්.

ස්වභාවධර්මය අපිට පිරිසිදු, සැබෑ දේවල් ලබා දෙන්නේ යම් සේද, ආදරය සහ කැපකිරීම තුළත් ඇත්තේ එවැනිම අව්‍යාජ බවක්.

මහ සිකුරාදා කියන්නේ වේදනාවේ දිනයක් නෙමෙයි, තව කෙනෙක් වෙනුවෙන් තමන්ව පරිත්‍යාග කිරීමේ තියෙන ගාම්භීර බව පෙන්වූ අරුත්බර දිනයක්.

අද වැනි දවසක, ඒ උතුම් මනුෂ්‍යත්වයේ මතකය නිහඬව මෙනෙහි කරමු. අපේ හිත් වලත් අනෙකා කෙරෙහි සමාව, ආදරය සහ කරුණාව වර්ධනය කරගන්නට මේ මතකය ආශිර්වාදයක් කරගනිමු. 🙏✨
