Bubbly for breakfast, because today is the day. Kat's Coffee is now officially 10 years open.
I am currently not on the island, which makes me a bit sad today. But I can celebrate with the two people who have always had my back and not even once asked if I may have completely lost the plot. Thank you, Mum and Dad.
And thank you to everyone who has been there with us

y'all... All y'alls! Kat's Coffee is turning 10 in June! Entirely unbelievable! When I first started this in Unawatuna 2016 I gave myself two years to figure out whether I actually want to do this. And oh do I really want to do this.
I am so grateful for the opportunity I had a decade ago and for everyone who has joined us during this time. Whether during our humble beginnings, during the challenging years, or more recently in our beautiful Thalpe home. As guests, as partners, as friends, and most importantly, as part of the Kat's Coffee family.
To each and every one of the lovely women who have worked with me over the years, I love all of you, and I am immensely proud of what we have built together! It's not an ordinary thing!
Now for everyone reading this, please come celebrate with us this month. Come in and say hi, relax in our lovely garden, enjoy some of our delicious food and oh so good coffee. We'll do 10% off all menu items for the entire month.
Here's to another 10!

A special place in the heart of Thalpe, German food with a Sri Lankan twist, homemade bread, a book swap, and the best company.
Come in for a break from the madness

Did you know Kat's Coffee is a women only owned and run business since 2016? With International Women's Day coming up this weekend, I want to take the opportunity to say thank you to the amazing women that have worked here over the years. And to do something a little bit more than flowers and chocolate, I have decided to give 10% of our income for 7th, 8th and 9th of March as a Women's Day Bonus for the whole team.
If you want to do something with impact this Women's Day, support women owned businesses 💖 It doesn't have to be us, but we won't be mad if it is 😁
