โค๏ธ๐Ÿฉธ 19th Blood Donation Campaign โ€“ A Tribute of Life & Compassion ๐Ÿฉธโค๏ธ

Lumbini Mehewara Tea Charity Foundation successfully organized our 11th Blood Donation Campaign at the Lumbini Tea Factory premises.

We proudly conduct two blood donation campaigns annually, and this special initiative was held in loving memory of our Founder, Late Mr. D. Jayawardana, honoring his legacy of compassion, humanity, and service.

With the incredible participation of 250 generous donors, we were able to collect 250 pints of blood, which will be donated to the Apeksha Cancer Hospital to support patients bravely fighting with cancer.

๐Ÿ™ Our Heartfelt Gratitude ๐Ÿ™
We extend our sincere appreciation to each and every blood donor who came forward to give the most precious gift, the gift of life. Your kindness, courage, and willingness to help others truly embody the spirit of Lumbini Mehewara. Because of you, many lives will be saved and many families will receive hope.

This initiative reflects our deep commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility growing not only the worldโ€™s finest tea, but also a culture of care, compassion, and community upliftment.

Together, we brew hope beyond tea.

In Loving Memory of Mr. Bill Waddington
Founder โ€“ The Tea Source Company

With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of Mr. Bill Waddington, a true pioneer and a lifelong friend of the Lumbini Tea Valley.

In 2004, when Lumbini Tea was still in its infancy, Mr. Bill placed his trust in us by purchasing 5 kg of Silver Tips, marking the very first export from Lumbini Tea Valley. That single act of belief did far more than open international markets it opened doors of opportunity, dignity, and hope.

Through his vision and support, Lumbini Tea found its place on the global stage. More importantly, his faith helped uplift and empower an entire community of over 30,000 people living in the Lumbini Tea Valley, whose livelihoods, pride, and future have been shaped by the journey he helped begin.

Mr. Bill was not just a buyer or a businessman, he was a mentor, a champion of origin, and a believer in people behind the tea. His contribution will forever remain woven into the story of Lumbini.

We extend our deepest condolences to his beloved wife Liz Pauly and daughter Maggy Waddington. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of profound loss.

Thank you, Sir Bill Waddington.
For believing in Lumbini when few did.
For opening the world to our tea.
For helping an entire valley and its people stand tall.
Your legacy will live on in every cup of Lumbini Tea shared across the world. ๐Ÿ™
