Kalubowitiyana Tea has been crafting exquisite golden brews of pure Ceylon tea, that have powered the nation, since 1992.



It began commercial operations in 1994 by processing CTC teas and became the pioneer in manufacturing the best CTC teas in Sri Lanka. CTC teas produced at the Kalubowitiyana tea factory are famous

for its strength and brisk liquors, sought by leading blenders all over the world for tea bag blends. Presently the Kalubowitiyana tea factories which are located in the South of Sri Lanka, produce approximately 1.2 MKgs of low-grown CTC teas. The Dearangala and Hiniduma Hills factories located in the southern province produce low-grown orthodox teas, contributing 1.45 MKgs to the total tea production, typically known for their stylish leaf appearance and larger particle size, as well as strength and distinctive flavor. The Manikdiwela Tea Factory which is located in Kandy, produces approximately 0.4 MKgs of intensely full bodied teas, classified as "Medium-Grown", and are famous for its palatable liquors. Kalubowitiyana Tea manufacturing has won a number of national and international awards for it's quality and ethical standards.
