The company at the beginning had only 15 workers and had to face a lot of obstacles and difficulties due to lack of infrastructure facilities such as electricity and water. A small rice milling factory which had been at the location was skillfully converted into well prospering tea factory. At present , the work force of tea factory which produces low count

ry grown tea consists of 75 permanent workers. Even though the small company at that time had to be content with a small volume of tea production of only 2500 kg monthly, the presents volume of monthly production is between 8000 - 10 000 kg. Low country tea is regularly produced using the leaves plucked at regular intervals by a skillful and experienced force of tea pluckers, keeping the best standards.We are family run tea factory based in down south of Sri lanka. Please make sure you will reserve your visit at least 24 hours before your arrival to the factory so we can provide you proper tourist guide to make your visit even better experience.
