English description:
"Masescha" was established as a tavern in 1877. Guntram and Emma Fehr bought it in 1929 and subsequently renovated and expanded it into a restaurant. Today the mountain restaurant is run by Fred Fehr in the third generation. Our cuisine is hearty, fresh, innovative and seasonal. We pay attention to sustainable production. Fresh ingredients and preparation of the highest quality are a matter of course for us. In addition to our signature dishes, such as the famous Masescha-style "Geschnetzelte" (diced veal in cream sauce), we serve seasonally changing specialities. Above all, "Maria's covered apple pie" is known beyond Liechtenstein's borders. The recipe – often copied, but never achieved – is still a closely guarded family secret. Masescha is nestled 1,250 meters above sea level and is known to be the "sun terrace“ of the region. Masescha is a mere 15 minutes of easy driving away from Liechtenstein's capital Vaduz.
