Lots happening at Daauw Home since our announcement about renovation time! We had some amazing people and a few cultural exchange groups visiting us and staying each about 3 to 4 days. sleeping in our volunteerhouse and joining us with the family meals and all the daily activities and renovation. We have a update for Daauw Home Restaurant and Daauw Home Guesthouse for the upcoming months:

Welcome all!

Daauw Home Laos is a training restaurant, homestay and organic farm from the ethnic villages in the valleys and mountains of Laos.

Due to a very much needed renovation of the restaurant terrace we welcome you in the first months of 2026 to come and visit us:

Restaurant Daauw Home Menu is closed. You are welcome to join us for a Family meal for 150.000 LAK if you would like to enjoy our family and learn our way of life we live in our mountainvillages. Please let us know an hour or 2 hours before, because we make all our food fresh and on woodfire.

Homestay Daauw Home is closed but you are welcome to stay with us in our Volunteerhouse for 100.000 LAK is you would like to know how it feels to sleep like we do in our villages and about our community way of life.

Usually we renovate every 2 year. Because of a very difficult 2025 with medical emergency we had to postpone this is why now we have a LOT of work AND luckily Bounchan surived and is declared clear in the hospital.
As you understand we are all very relieved and HAPPY and everybody is now working together with a big smile on their face.

Women, children and teenage families stay at Kajsiab Shelter to recover, learn new skills and create new ways of income for their families.
Kajsiab Shelter makes sure the mothers and their children get education, food, housing and above all a safe base to start a new beginning.

You are welcome to stay or visit any time.
We mostly have availability at all times.
We focus on cultural exchange, the people from the villages staying at the Shelter are eager to learn about people, their stories, other cultures and countries.

Among daily life activities the women and their families focus on
- Kajsiab Women's artwork and skills to ensure new sources of income for their families
- Kajsiab Education Fund
- Self Sustainability and Cultural exchange activities
- Walk-in Home for ethnic villages during their hospital stay nearby of family members for food/housing

Zjong and Bounchan are the heart💛mother and father of all Daauw women and children of the Kajsiab Shelter, cultural exchange and homestay bungalow stays

You are also welcome to email Lara from Netherlands 💛 the other heart of the Daauw Home activities, founder, mediator and advisor

Lara in time zone Europe is available for Zjong and Bounchan for advice and training at all times 24 hours a day

We have a beautiful restaurant setting with CAMPFIRE at the Terrace where you can relax and discuss travel plans 2 minute walk from GE office, guesthouses, restaurants and ATM.

We are right above the main street; 2 minutes, right above the mainstreet.

For 2026 we wish for all of you 💫✨lots and lots of adventures 🍀🍀🍀love, laughter, good food, good health, a stable basis and shelter, warmth, friendship, family, being in our core, BEING IN the moment .....while creating our beautiful LIFE every day again, navigating 🌊through the waves of life💛...............We do not share that much on media for now BUT we....as you can see.... are navigating through the moments and we ROCK🍀.
These pictures are from Ing, her life and her family, her children.
Ing is one of the young women who stayed at Daauw Home since she was 4 until 21. She created her life with the skills she learned at the Daauw Home Shelter and with her powerful passionate character she managed to create THIS. ❤️ Her own small farm and home, even through covid and a flood that destroyed everything a few years back. This is her family and life NOW. ............A reminder for us all🍀🍀🍀....we fall...and then we rise again....... while creating our small and big moments of warmth, shelter, food, a stable basis and happiness while navigating 🌊through the waves of life💛
