Cruise visitors may only spend a few hours on island, but their impact goes much further.
In 2023, over 1.2 million cruise passengers visited the Cayman Islands, nearly three times the number of stayover visitors. Even within a short visit, they contribute to transportation, tours, attractions, retail, and food and beverage businesses across the island.
For many small businesses and independent operators, cruise tourism plays an important role in keeping operations running and supporting jobs.
