The same year Osvaldo decided to open a small neighborhood pizzeria, as a gift to his beloved wife, Agatha. As Giovanni grew up, his mother realized that he had inherited her passion for cooking, and in addition, his fathers love of good food. So, she inducted him into her world, teaching him her secrets, and he soon became a great chef. Years later, Giovanni would decide to share his mothers recipes with the world, to recreate the authentic taste of her cooking, the flavors that accompanied him throughout his childhood; the essence of his home. So was born Margherita pizzeria del quartiere dal 1959. Margherita first opened in Gemmayze in 2008 and is now one of the most renowned Italian restaurant in Lebanon. Locations:

History:

Margherita restaurant, when first created by Osvaldo and Agatha, was a “Quartiere Pizzeria” meaning that its concept was anchor in its neighborhood. Chef Giovanni, when he decided to open Margherita restaurant in Lebanon was convinced that the best way to make people discover and appreciate his cooking and identity will be to recreate this universe and ambiance in Gemmayze, Beirut. Because we are all attached to our neighborhood and that we like to live in warm and welcome environment, we all simply fall in love with this concept. Margherita is not only the best pizzeria in town, it is also a place where people like to spend time with friends and family, meeting neighbors, discussing the everyday life around tasteful Antipasti, Zuppe, Pizze and Dolce that make us travel instantly to Italy. Mission:

Margherita’s mission is to make you discover the real Italian cooking and to let you enjoy its universe at its best. Our priority: using the best quality products to serve you fresh and tasteful Italian foods in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
