Mangan - Belle’s Kitchen is a home-cooking restaurant blending Filipino and Spanish flavors, inspired by tradition and crafted with care. My love for cooking began with my grandmother, Mamang, who taught me the joy of homemade meals made with heart. We proudly source locally produced ingredients, ensuring freshness while supporting our community. Committed to sustainability, we use eco-friendly packaging and collaborate with the basket community. At Mangan—meaning "eat" in Ilocano—every meal is a warm invitation to enjoy authentic flavors, share good company, and experience the comfort of home-cooked food.

I remember the days when shredding the coconut meat is manually done.

In the Philippines, Christmas starts in September. No matter how difficult life is, the moment "-ber" month starts, every single Filipino feels the season of love and giving. 🥰

🔹 The Philippines has the LONGEST Christmas season in the world — stretching from September all the way to January (some say even 4-5 months long)!

🔹 Filipinos are the only ones (alongside a few other cultures) who officially count "Ber" months — September, October, November, December — as the unofficial start of Christmas.

🔹 Simbang Gabi (a series of dawn masses) starts December 16 and is one of the most anticipated Filipino Christmas traditions — the smell of p**o bumbong and bibingka right after mass? Unmatched. 🍚

Not everyday you feel inspired to do what you’re doing. But the difference between those who succeed and those who leave this life with regret is…

Whether you feel inspired, motivated, fueled or not — you still do it anyway.

So to those of you pouring so much of your time and effort into what you’re doing, and feel as if nothing is happening?

Keep doing it anyway.

This week I felt so heavy with all the global catastrophe going on. The latest was the flash flood in Nepal. I couldn’t sleep thinking about it. How can something like this wipe out villages in broad daylight, without warning? How can so many be swallowed by mud, boulders, and gushing water — in an instant, with no time to say goodbye?

It made me sit with a heavy truth: life is fragile, and none of us are promised tomorrow.

And yet — here we are. Still breathing. Still given the chance to show up for another day.

There’s a Japanese legend that says: “If you feel like you’re losing everything, remember, trees lose their leaves every year, yet they stand tall and wait for better days to come.”

So if you’re in a season of questioning why, and when will my big break come? Maybe it’s not the right question.

Maybe today, the better question is: what am I grateful for today? 💛

One habit you and I must practice in the next 30 days…

Treat others the way you want to be treated. 💛

It’s simple, but it’s everything.

Our kitchen doesn’t run just to earn money — it runs to make sure you sit down to a meal that was truly well-prepared, cooked with the same care we’d want for our own family.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to, every single day. Not because it’s good business. Because it’s who we are.

Trying to figure out how to better organize our kitchen so we can work more efficiently. 📝

But even in the middle of all this planning, I can’t help but stop and feel grateful — grateful for the privilege of doing something that actually makes me happy.

It feels like being a little kid again, pretending to cook in a play kitchen… except now, I’m really doing it. Real food. Real dishes. Real dream. 🥹

Growing pains and all, I wouldn’t trade this for anything. 💛
