Epic Arts Cafe Every Person Counts! We are a Social Enterprise Café providing a disability-inclusive workplace for people in Kampot!

You can purchase beautiful handicrafts made with the help of our students, upstairs in our Epic Creations shop. Established in 2006, the idea for the Epic Arts Café grew from a desire to provide work opportunities for deaf and disabled people as well as a hang-out for deaf students. Today, the Cafe stands as a model for an inclusive working environment within the local community, providing employm

ent for people and raising funds for the work of Epic Arts. At present the café generates enough revenue to be self-sufficient, and also provides support to Epic Arts' programmes. Already a busy hub for the local community, the café also enjoys a regular stream of international visitors, usually armed with a copy of The Lonely Planet, a good appetite and a desire to learn more about what we do.

🌏 Making tourism more inclusive in Kampot! 🤟

This week we were happy to welcome Tatiana, a Deaf visitor from Russia, to Epic Arts Café. While in Cambodia, Tatiana is researching the accessibility of tourism for Deaf people, alongside Nolasco from Spain, who is returning to Epic Arts after visiting 12 years ago!

Tatiana led an inspiring and productive discussion with seven of our Deaf staff, about developing accessible tourism in the local community. The group also discussed how Epic Arts Café can provide a welcoming space for Deaf international travellers to meet and connect with the local Deaf community.

We’re excited to continue exchanging ideas and working together to create more inclusive tourism opportunities in Kampot. 💙
