6 years. Hundreds of events. Thousands of memories. Today I’m saying goodbye to Oysters & More.
Everything has a beginning and an end.
And today, the era of Oysters & More comes to an end.
What a journey.
I opened this restaurant with no prior experience, right in the middle of COVID, while going through one of the most intense periods of my personal life.
Oysters & More became far more than a business. It became a chapter of transformation where a new version of Elena was born.
For 6 years, we created something truly unique in Nairobi: a space for connection, celebration, music, and unforgettable memories.
Together, we hosted
✨ Latin social nights for 4 years - the only place to keep dancing even during COVID
✨ A 4-day Latin social festival
✨ Champagne brunches
✨ Mix & Mingle nights for singles
✨ Sip & Shop with influencers
✨ InterNations
✨ High tea events
✨ A vodka party sponsored by Top it Up
✨ Karaoke nights
✨ Sing Country with Lisa Lyanga
✨ Filming for The Real Housewives of Nairobi
✨ Kidum’s music video (I even got to act in it 🤭)
✨ Countless private celebrations, Christmas dinners, and so many special moments
We brought together people from all over the world -diplomats, artists, influencers, singers, politicians.
And yes… all of this happened in a mall food court.
We created beauty in the details: flowers, lights, beautiful glassware, great music, laughter, dancing, and good food.
To every guest who supported me through these years: thank you for your trust, loyalty, and for becoming part of this story.
This farewell video is 14 minutes long because some memories deserve time. If you watch it through, I hope it brings back beautiful moments we shared.
Now it’s time for a new chapter.
This page will evolve with me and will now be dedicated to another passion of mine: cakes 🎂.
I’ve been baking since I was 14, and thanks to my Napoleon cake- the only dessert on our menu -what started as a hobby quietly became something more.
Now it’s time to give that passion more space, creativity, and heart.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
And welcome to what comes next 🤍
