Splendid View restaurant has a history way back as from 1967 where the business originated in a small coastal town of Kenya, known as Malindi, by Mr. Habib Butt, who came from Nairobi with his family to settle in Malindi and established a small cafe©. The town had a small local population and was mainly a holiday destination where many tourists came from various European countries and The Americas

for holidays on the beach as there were a number of resorts along the beach, but the business was seasonal. The tourists and locals enjoyed the sumptuous meals offered in the restaurant as the ala carte menu varied from Indian cuisine to Continental and local dishes included and ice creams and Deserts which were a great experience for all. Butt moved to Mombasa, the second largest town of Kenya to expand and grow in business where they introduced their Bar-be Que menu mainly having Chicken tika, seekh kababs, Mushkaki, Naans Seafoods, steaks, curries and Pizzas which did very well because of their personal supervision and dedicated hardwork and was very much liked by both the local residents and tourists to date. In 1994, Splendid View Cafe© moved forward to put up a second branch along Malindi road which is a unique, modern built purpose restaurant offering Indian Mughlai and Continental cuisine. It has all modern facilities and caters for over 300 customers in which it also holds parties, functions, weddings and other occasions. To day Splendid View Restaurant celebrates 42 years of quality catering experience and is well known both locally and around the world and is highly recommended in many International tourist guides.
