This was a great topic in group discussion recently and I wanted to share it here.
Don’t focus on the size of your project or how to get results, instead focus on your determination.
Watching small ants rearrange their pathways and organize their home in such an neat order and daily discipline is quite fascinating. Ants are so small, but they run with these huge teams 🐜🐜🐜 and they demonstrate 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
They possess certain characteristics that we too can live out daily:
1️⃣ Self Discipline: Ants value hard work. They are diligent and hardworking, teaching us the value in it. Ants are never lazy; neither are they poor or hungry. They always have provision. The effort in the hard work is what sustains them. If we strive to be diligent and work hard, our lives will be blessed in all areas.
2️⃣ Attitude: They understand the value of attitude. They have this can-do attitude of: we’ll make this happen!
3️⃣ Strategy: Ants are excellent at planning and organizing. They know how much to gather, how much to eat, and how much to store for winter. What is your strategy and are you committed to it?
4️⃣ Team: Ants value the team. Are you a part of the group willing to accomplish things bigger than yourselves.
5️⃣ Present-Future Focused: They balance the two. They live in the now, but allow the future to drive their daily decisions. They have a sense of direction in that they don’t lose sight of the focus, but understand the vital importance of their existence and make that their focal point on today.
6️⃣ Community: Ants value community because they understand the compounding effect.
The tiny, continual steps of the ant impact the community with a compounding effect.
How do you stay committed to your goal?
