Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
At Zúmpini Coffee, we believe in the power of community and innovation to bring about meaningful change. For years, we have been dedicated to improving menstrual health for girls and women in our community. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, we have been allocating 5 shillings from every cup of coffee sold towards purchasing sanitary pads for the less fortunate. This initiative has already made a significant impact, but we know we can do more.
Our Next Step: Sustainable Sanitary Pads from Banana Stems
We are excited to announce our latest project: the acquisition of technology and machinery to produce sanitary pads from banana stems. This innovative approach not only provides a sustainable solution to menstrual health but also supports environmental conservation by utilizing agricultural waste.

I have been actively pushing the idea of purchasing sanitary pad-making machines to county governments through women representatives. This fundraising campaign is our way of taking a proactive step towards achieving this goal.
Our Vision for Sustainability
The manufacturing process will run as a non-profit initiative. To sustain the factory overheads and ensure smooth operations, we will also produce a premium product. This approach will allow us to provide free sanitary products to the less fortunate, addressing a problem that has persisted since medieval times.

The running of this initiative will be community-based, ensuring that it remains rooted in local needs and values. We will have an expertise-based management team to oversee operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in achieving our goals.
