《マウイ大規模火災被害支援》English below 👇
皆様もニュースなどでご存じかもしれませんが、今現在もマウイ島が山火事で大変な事になっています。カリの実家であるハイク地区は被害がなく家族も無事なのですが、マウイ島の西側、ラハイナ地区の被害がひどく、ほとんどの建物が焼失してしまいました。
ハイクコーヒーがいつもお世話になっていた"MAUI GROWN COFFEE"も、店舗、焙煎所、焙煎機、大量の生豆･焙煎豆、この全てが無くなってしまいました。また、ラハイナ地区にある多くの方々の住居、お店、歴史的建造物も同様です。火災の映像を目にする度に、本当にあの美しいラハイナの風景がなくなってしまったんだという喪失感に襲われます。
しかし今、私達がすべき事は少しでも被害に遭われた方々を思う、サポートする事だけです。去年MAUI GROWN COFFEEを訪問した時にオーナーのジェフから頂いたマウイコーヒーの生豆がほんの少しだけ残っていましたので、それを焙煎しました。本日より店舗にて提供致します。このマウイコーヒーの売り上げは全額寄付します。また店頭に募金箱を設置しておりますので、そちらからも募金可能となっています。
まだ様々な情報が錯綜しておりますので、募金先は決めかねております。最終的な募金先が決まりましたら、詳細は後日必ず報告させて頂きます。

It’s hard to put into words the devastation that Maui is currently facing. Our family in Haiku are safe and we appreciate all the private messages checking in on us. But there are still 3 active fires in Lahaina; Pūlehu/Kīhei; and Kula, with insurmountable damage and loss on Maui.
Last year we visited Maui Grown Coffee in Lahaina and Jeff kindly took us to the store, roastery, and coffee processing area. Unfortunately most of these locations were in the fire zone as was the green coffee bean warehouse. We have roasted the last of our Maui Grown Coffee and will donate all the net sales from each cup of coffee sold.
The Maui/Hawaii community has banded together to do everything they can to support each other during this crisis. In this time, the best way you can support is to donate. Thousands of houses and businesses have been lost and the lives lost may be in the hundreds. Please help Maui in any way you can.
