مبنى المرحوم الفريق الركن عبد القادر باشا الجندي (١٨٩٣م - ١٩٦٠م)

هو "الضابط الفيصلي" عبد القادر المجيد من أحرار العرب الذين وفدوا عام ١٩٢٠ إلى معان لإستقبال الشهيد الأمير الحسن عبد اله بن الحسين "طيب اله ثراه" و لازمه في بناء الأردن منذ نشأته الأولى. كان عبد القادر الجندي من أبرز ضباط الجيش العربي الأردني على مر السنين و لعب دورا محوريا في جيش الإنقاذ العربي ضد الحركة اليهودية ، و هو مؤسس الجيش

العربي الأردني و رئيس الأركان حينه. و هو الذي شيد هذا البناء العريق.

هذا البناء يعد من أهم و أقدم معالم جبل اللويبدة التراثية حيث تم تشييد الطابقين الأرضي و الأول عام ١٩٣٢م من حجر فلسطين "قباطية" واذي قام ببنائه رجال من "أهل التلي" من ريف دمشق الذين إشتهروا بأعمال بناء الحجر. أما البلاط المزخرف فصنع خصيصا في دمشق و تم تبليطه بواسطة المعماري ياسين ملص الذي قدم من دمشق لهذه الغاي ، و قام في ما بعد بتبليط قاعات الديوان الملكي الهاشمي العامر.

إبان حرب ١٩٤٨ قام الكيان الصهيوني بإلقاء عدة قذائف بطائراته الحربية على البناء في محاولة لإلحاق الأذى بالقائد الوطني عبد القادر باشا الجندي الذي ناصر أحرار فلسطين حيث بقيت آثار هذا العدوان شواهد على جدران البناء حتى اليوم.

قام المهندس المعماري صباح الكبلاني بتصميم الطابق الثاني من هذا البناء و الذي شيد عام ١٩٤٩ ليكمل المشوار و يسطر تاريخ من الفخر و الإعتزاز.

شهد البناء أيام عز و نعيم حتى أن ضم في ثنايا حديقته في حقبة الثلاثينات غزلانا و نعاما و طواويسا و شجر اللوز الذي إرتفع و الذي بقي يغازل قبة قصر أميّة في جبل القلعة الروما الممتد إلى الشرق متوجا جبل الحسين شقيقا لجبل اللويبدة جبل الثقافة و التراث.
