Etruscan coast , the sea is about 40 min. away and you can reach the beaches of Cecina, Marina di Bibbona, Donoratico, Castiglioncello and San Vincenzo. A line of the sea stretches from Livorno to Piombino - Castiglioncello, Quercianella, Rosignano, Vada, Cecina, Bibbona, Marina di Castagneto and San Vincenzo. Beaches of pale sand, like those at San Vincenzo and Baratti, alternate with the darker sands of Marina di Castagneto, Bibbona and Cecina, and wind-sculpted rocky shores where the water is deep and teeming with fish. At Villa Spazio, you can pull up a chair or take your cup out to the shaded terrace and decide what to do with the day a little later.

Autumn sunlight is something to savour, especially with a small hand in yours and no reason to hurry back.

You head out for a short walk and find yourself stopping every few steps. A leaf needs inspecting, a stone belongs in a pocket, and the shadows on the path have grown much taller than the people making them. The sun still feels warm on your skin, so you let the smallest person decide when it’s time to turn around.

We like these walks to take a little longer than they need to. And as our autumn and winter break gets closer, we’re enjoying every last one. There’s still time to join us.

Villa Apicius・Saline di Volterra

We like a room that gives you something to look at, even when you’ve put your book down. Ceramics sit alongside books, vintage furniture meets warm terracotta tones, and the hills are there through the kitchen window while you prepare lunch.

We choose pieces for their proportions, their textures and how they feel in everyday use. The pleasure of staying here is partly in getting to live with them for a while: pulling up a chair, setting the table, finding your favourite corner.

We wish we could send you the whole afternoon - the voices by the pool, the light moving across the hills, the conversation that keeps you outside a little longer. For now, a few postcards will have to do.

Your swimsuit still deserves a little space in the suitcase.

Late September and early October can bring afternoons warm enough for a swim. We like that small surprise: arriving with autumn on your mind and finding yourself drying off in the sun after a little time in the pool.

We can spend quite a while choosing something you might only notice on your third morning.

A piece catches our eye, often vintage, and then we consider where it belongs and what should sit beside it. Even the smallest objects get that attention. We rather enjoy the thought of you noticing them gradually.

If we had to pick one most underrated month here, it would be September.

The heat has softened, the days are still long and nobody is in a hurry.

We are welcoming guests until the 14. of October.

We built the afternoons here around one idea: nobody should have to look at a watch.

How about a few games of tennis? There is nowhere to drive to, the court is right next to the apartment and yours to use.
