Un'osmiza è un locale tipico dell'altopiano del Carso, tra Italia e Slovenia, dove si vendono e si consumano vini e prodotti tipici a km 0 come uova, salumi e formaggi direttamente nelle aziende agricole dei contadini che li producono.
Queste cantine contadine, segnalate da una "frasca" lungo la strada, restano aperte poche settimane all’anno.

But what is exactly an 𝒐𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒛𝒂?
An osmiza is a traditional establishment on the Karst plateau, between Italy and Slovenia, where wines and local, zero-mile products such as eggs, cured meats and cheeses are sold and enjoyed directly on the farms of the farmers who produce them.
These farm cellars, marked by a ‘frasca’ (branch) along the road, are only open for a few weeks a year.
