Una romantica villa liberty degli anni ‘30 inserita in una splendida cornice tra natura, relax e cultura: l'Hotel Roma, il più storico e suggestivo albergo di Scanno. Sarà perché Cartier-Bresson vi soggiornò realizzando alcuni scatti che sono passati alla storia, sarà per l'atmosfera magica che si respira ancora oggi per il Liberty elegante e ricercato o sarà la luce soffusa e filtrata che gioca tra le vetrate colorate... un soggiorno qui è un viaggio in una dimensione onirica, se ci si lascia avvolgere dall'atmosfera un po' retrò. Hotel Roma - The house of Lady Costanza is situated in a liberty villa dating from the 1920's now converted to elegant accommodation by the historical center of Scanno, one of Abruzzo's most beautiful medieval towns in the province of L'Aquila. What was once a large family home is now accommodation with 20 guest rooms all furnished to reflect the spirit and atmosphere of the historical "Albergo Roma". Do consider the 5 superior rooms: they are larger than the standard rooms and boast period furniture of the family, as well as modern LED televison screens and long two meter beds. In every room there is a bath with shower or tub, hair dryer and TV and Wi-Fi connection. As with the original design of the building, there is no elevator, but the first and second floors are easily reached via the wide stairs with original liberty handrail. The town of Scanno is known the Pearl of Abruzzo and is among the "Borghi più belli d'Italia" or most beautiful hamlets of Italy. Scanno sits at 1050 meters above sea level on the borders of the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo and is surrounded by the highest mountain peaks in central Italy. Do also consider the in house Ristorante Costanza e Roberto which serves traditional Abruzzese dishes. The restaurant can seat up to 70 diners and the dining room and terrace are also suitable for family events and other occasions.
