uditta was returning to her farm down in the valley. Francesco Paolo Michetti, the great abbruzzan painter who was sitting on the balcony of the tower, was fascinated. He immediately drew Giuditta's figure with his pencil, and then painted it with his magic brush. "La figlia di Iorio" (Jorio's daughter), the most noted painting by Michetti was born. The idillic atmosphere of that period in this place remains unaltered, and so you can admire and enjoy the vast panorama: la Mailella, il Gran Sasso, l'Adriatico. You can reach the Ristorante "La Torre" through autostrada Adriatica (A14), exit Ortona, then follow the signs to Orsogna (17km).
