When the garden gives you figs… make jam. 💜
And when that jam turns out this delicious, make plenty of it.

Chef Carlo is right in the middle of our fig jam season, turning the ripe, organic figs from our garden into a rich, luscious jam that makes everyone happy.

A little spoonful on a freshly baked croissant at breakfast.
A generous layer in a homemade crostata.
Or in one of our starters and desserts.

Sweet, rich and full of ripe fig flavour.
We’ll be enjoying this one for a while. 💜

👋 Hello September!
The month when summer slows down… but doesn’t quite leave ☀️

Here in Le Marche, September still feels very much like summer. Days can still reach around 30°C, the beach is calling, and evenings are warm enough for dinner outside under the stars. ✨

At CarloCarla, we’re enjoying the very best of late summer.

But September in Le Marche is about more than sunshine. Small villages come alive with local food, music, long tables and traditional celebrations. From one village sagra or festa to the next, there’s always another reason to eat, drink and celebrate together. 🇮🇹

And there’s plenty happening this September:

🍺 Until September 6: September Fest 2026 in Macerata
🍖 September 5 & 6: Festa del Ciauscolo in Sarnano
🍷 September 12: W**e festival Divina Harmonia in Monte San Pietrangeli
🎤 Or enjoy one of the great concerts during Sferisterio Live at the Sferisterio in Macerata.

And that’s perhaps what makes September so special here.

This is (late) summer in Le Marche. 🇮🇹

🌿 Some views are worth slowing down for

From our terrace, the restaurant and the pool, nature puts on a different show every day.

The clouds change, the light moves, the colours shift, and every season brings a completely new landscape.

It feels like sitting inside a living painting. And somehow, you never get tired of looking at it.

Nature’s daily masterpiece. 🖼️

👨‍🍳 The passion and craft of Chef Carlo

For us, Le Marche is about bringing together the things we love most. At our restaurant CarloCarla, they all come together:

🌿 Beautiful local ingredients
🍽️ Creative cooking
🍷 Good w**e
🌅 A peaceful place with a beautiful view
❤️ And the pleasure of sharing it with our guests

Carlo began his career as a chef, working in some of the Netherlands' top kitchens. After completing a 4-year degree in hospitality education, he went on to spend 18 years teaching the next generation of hospitality professionals.

Today, he has the space to cook in the way he loves most. From fish, meat, shellfish and game to pastry and desserts, Chef Carlo does it all himself.

Inspired by the ingredients and recipes of Italy and Le Marche, with his own style and experience.

🌿 Sometimes, the greatest luxury is simply having space

Space to wake up slowly
Space to breathe in the countryside
Space to watch the hills change with the light
Space to enjoy the simple beauty around you
Space to listen to the sounds of the countryside
Space for long summer evenings
Space to simply... do nothing

At CarloCarla, we keep things small by choice.

✔ A few rooms
✔ A peaceful setting
✔ Personal hospitality
✔ Time to enjoy the little things
