Today we close a truly special week.
Over the past days, Chiaraluce has welcomed beautiful souls from Suriname, Germany, Austria, the United States and Canada. Different languages, different stories, different paths, all gathered around a shared desire: to create, to learn and to experience the world through art.
Under the guidance of Johanne Bossmann, each participant explored her unique layered painting technique, discovering that every layer tells a story, every mark leaves a trace and every painting becomes a reflection of a moment lived fully.
What began as a group of strangers quickly became a community.
Meals shared around the table, laughter in the studio, conversations that continued long after the brushes were put down and friendships that crossed oceans.
A heartfelt thank you to Johanne for her generosity, her vision and the inspiring atmosphere she created throughout this retreat.
And thank you to our wonderful participants: Cherida, Dina, Caroline, Carol, Holly, Ruth and Daniela, for bringing your energy, kindness, curiosity and creativity to Chiaraluce.
A special mention goes to Jochen, our beloved sous-chef, whose presence, humour and helping hands became part of the experience as much as the art itself.
You arrived from different corners of the world carrying brushes, dreams and stories.
You leave with paintings, memories, new friendships and a small piece of Chiaraluce that will travel home with you.
