India on a plate is the first and only Indian take away in Lucca.To all the Indian food lovers we promise authentic, warm and fulfilling homecooked food

I am maybe as much excited as you are about the first Indian take away in Lucca.Everytime I introduce myself as an Indian people start asking do you make Naan,do you make lassi ,do you make Palak panner and butter chicken ?? Yes i do make all that and moreover i love doing it .Software Engineer by profession but a chef at heart i have been cooking since i was 15 and have always dreamt to be a rest

aurateur .This is just a small step but I am glad to announce that India on a plate is ready to roar . For now we take orders in advance and a small number everyday.I would request you to place your orders one day in anticipation or atleast before 12.00 a.m the same day for dinner.Orders can be placed by phone call or through email.Hoping to be at your service.In case you want a break from the amazing Italian food do try India on a plate .I assure you wont be disappointed.

Welcome to a new week everyone. I have been meaning to write this post since long but couldn't but here it is.In this journey of just over 2 months I have come across many people who are really trying to eat healthy due to various health issues or just as a choice and we would certainly like to encourage them. As you know at India on a plate the customer always has the power to customize the dishes so please let us know your preference whether you would want your food to be cooked in olive oil, to be without carbs , to be baked instead of fried, to be without butter, without cream . You just have to ask and you will get healthier version of your favourite food without compromising on the taste. Vegetarian, healthy and delicious....... Does it sound believable??? But ofcourse... Mushroom Matar, Dal and roti, .... The right balance between proteins, vitamins and carbs, so spice up your winter with these vegetarian dishes

Midweek special is Kerala fish curry, a rich, creamy, sweet, hot,flavourful dish made with coconut milk which originates from god's own country, Kerala. Can't believe I took the liberty of doing it with Salmon but it came as delicious or even more. All that was missing was a banana leaf to serve it on :)
