L’Albergo della Regina Isabella fu costruito negli anni ‘50 per volontà di Angelo Rizzoli. Il celebre editore e produttore cinematografico, incantato dai luoghi dell’isola e dalla tradizione delle terme, nel 1956 fece ampliare le storiche Terme della Regina Isabella e realizzare, sulle antiche rovine greco-romane, un complesso alberghiero. L’Albergo della Regina Isabella sorge nel comune di Lacco Ameno di Ischia,
in riva al mare e al centro di una tranquilla baia, immerso tra gli scogli e il verde della pineta mediterranea. L’ingresso dell’albergo si affaccia sulla pittoresca piazzetta di Santa Restituta, celebre per l’omonima Chiesa, vicino al Museo archeologico e ai tipici bazar d’antiquariato e di abbigliamento.
