L’Albergo della Regina Isabella fu costruito negli anni ‘50 per volontà di Angelo Rizzoli. Il celebre editore e produttore cinematografico, incantato dai luoghi dell’isola e dalla tradizione delle terme, nel 1956 fece ampliare le storiche Terme della Regina Isabella e realizzare, sulle antiche rovine greco-romane, un complesso alberghiero.
