❤️ Wussten Sie schon … ❤️ dass hoch über dem Kalterer See eine sagenumwobene Burgruine thront, um die sich bis heute Geschichten und Legenden ranken? 🍂🏰
Die Leuchtenburg ist einer dieser Orte, bei denen man sich fragt: Warum kennt diesen Geheimtipp eigentlich nicht jeder? Vielleicht sollte es auch genau so bleiben … 😉
Der Weg hinauf führt durch goldene Weinberge, stille Wälder und die sanfte Herbstlandschaft Südtirols. Und dann öffnet sich plötzlich der Blick:
🍇 über die Weinhügel rund um Kaltern
💙 hinunter zum tiefblauen Kalterer See
🏔️ weit über das Etschtal Richtung Süden
🏘️ und auf Kaltern, das hoch über den Weinbergen thront.
Oben warten die alten Mauern der mittelalterlichen Burg – und mit ihnen die Sagen vom verborgenen Schatz, der irgendwo zwischen den Gemäuern schlummern soll. Ob ihn wohl jemals jemand gefunden hat? 🤫
Vielleicht ist genau das der Zauber der Leuchtenburg: ein bisschen Geschichte, ein bisschen Geheimnis und ganz viel Südtirol.

The Leuchtenburg Castle Ruins are one of those places that make you wonder: why doesn’t everyone know about this trail? Perhaps that’s exactly what makes it such a special secret. 😉
In autumn, the hike to Leuchtenburg is a true hidden gem around Lake Kaltern. The trail winds through golden vineyards, peaceful woodland and the gentle autumn landscape of South Tyrol. And then, suddenly, the view opens up:
🍇 across the rolling vineyards around Kaltern
💙 down to the deep blue waters of Lake Kaltern
🏔️ across the Adige Valley towards the south
🏘️ and towards the village of Kaltern, perched above the vineyards.
At the top, the ruins of Leuchtenburg await. Built in the Middle Ages, the castle once stood as a powerful guardian above the valley. Today, its ancient walls are surrounded by stories, legends and even tales of a hidden treasure. Whether anyone ever found it? Well… perhaps it’s better that they didn’t – otherwise Leuchtenburg might no longer be such a secret. 😉
Our autumn tip: don’t just hike up, take a photo and leave. Take a moment to stop, look across the vineyards and the lake, and enjoy the golden South Tyrolean landscape.
