Every August 28th, the town turns toward Sant’Ermete — patron of a place built on pine forests, marble, and the sea.
A devotion older
than the umbrellas on the beach.
The whole town,
walking as one.
Fishing families, hoteliers, artists, children — the procession is where Forte remembers who it is.
Even in celebration,
never without elegance.
A fire lit on the sand,
as it has been for generations.
The bonfire marks the turning point of the night — and, quietly, of the season.
