Im unteren Vinschgau, 30 km westlich von Meran, liegt der Eingang zum Schnalstal. Das anfangs enge Tal weitet sich nur zögerlich, bevor plötzlich linker Hand hoch am Berg die Kirche der ehemaligen Kartause Allerengelberg sichtbar wird. Hier, im heutigen Bergdorf Karthaus, liegt die Goldene Rose. Der frühere Dorfgasthof ist ein wahrer Geheimtipp für Besucher, die in ursprünglichem, aber gehobenem Ambiente Erholung, Genuss und Stille suchen. Auf 1.300 m über dem Meeresspiegel, vor einer atemberaubenden, alpinen Kulisse.
