🗓️ Mercatino d'Autunno | Domenica 11 Ottobre - dalle ore 11.00

The season is upon us once more, and so is La Bursch… but some things remain the same, and among these is undoubtedly our seasonal market event.

Alongside our regular producers and craftspeople, there’ll be some new names and a few different experiences on offer, and, of course, our signature dishes served as street food.

The same homely atmosphere, but with a few lovely surprises.
To help us organise the day smoothly, please let us know you’re coming via the link in our BIO.

🗓️ Autumn Market | Sunday 11 October – from 11.00 am

Programme for the day:

11.00 am: Market opens, with stalls by artisans and food and w**e producers in La Bursch’s garden.

From 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm: Street food-style lunch, featuring seasonal dishes and desserts from our kitchen.

Followed by: activities for young and old, the bar in La Bursch’s garden open throughout, chestnut roasting… and our now-famous duck game.

Every journey has a starting point.

Stefano Landoni’s culinary creations begin with something seemingly very simple: our bread and whipped butter.

Then the path forks, and everyone can choose their own story, through the restaurant’s various tasting menus.

You have to go down a few steps to find one of the oldest parts of La Bursch.

St’Orto still retains the character of the old w**e cellar: stone, dim lighting, w**es and cheeses to be savoured slowly… all the more so at this time of year, with autumn and winter knocking at its heavy wooden door.

From Thursday to Sunday, we look forward to welcoming you for w**e and cheese tastings led by our sommelier.

For information and bookings, see the link in our BIO.

«Banane, cioccolato e olio extravergine».

‘Bananas, chocolate and extra virgin olive oil’.
From Chef Stefano Landoni’s ‘Acqua’ tasting menu, a dessert built around the contrast between the sweetness and creaminess of the fruit and the bitter notes of dark chocolate, featuring Italian meringue caramelised to order and extra virgin olive oil.

The oil comes from Azienda Agricola Agorà, a Piedmontese farm that cultivates its own olive trees on the hills of Monferrato and which, since 2021, has managed the entire production chain at its own mill in Trino, from cultivation to pressing and bottling.

As autumn is in full swing, the dish will also follow the seasonal calendar: the banana will give way to the persimmon, the fruit that symbolises this time of year.
A dessert that changes with the seasons, without altering the delicate balance on which it is built.

🇬🇧
La Bursch grew out of thirteen houses that time had scattered, and which Barbara slowly brought back together, until she had turned them into a village once more.

Today, with its rooms, nooks, halls and gardens, it is a sort of ‘Invisible City’ à la Calvino, only much smaller and with one little quirk: every door leads to something else.

Perhaps that is why a single day is not enough.

The green of the trees is slowly giving way to warmer shades: your magical autumn stay in the Cervo Valley awaits you.

St’Orto cambia stagione.

St’Orto is changing with the seasons. And, with it, our routines are changing too.

From Friday 2 October, St’Orto moves indoors and opens from 4.00 pm to 9.30 pm, serving homemade snacks, aperitifs accompanied by our platters, and a new offering that smells of autumn: a Bourguignonne menu, plin, creamy soups, traditional desserts and a few surprises.

A sort of hidden tavern nestled amongst the mountains, where you can take refuge when it starts to get chilly outside.

Welcome, autumn, and welcome to the new St’Orto!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our outdoor seating area this summer for a snack, an aperitif, an ice cream, a glass of w**e or simply to enjoy the sunshine, with the sound of the Bele in the background.

It’s been a special season, even more so than we’d imagined. And that’s precisely why we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to St’Orto just yet.

From October, there’ll be new opportunities to get together, new flavours to share and a few surprises that we’ll be revealing very soon.

St’Orto will return in a slightly different guise to the one you know, whilst continuing to cherish what makes it special: its warm, friendly atmosphere.

In the meantime, you’re welcome to keep popping in for our w**e and cheese tastings in the cellar.

See you soon, St’Orto!

W**e and cheese tastings: by booking only.

🇬🇧
Among the rooms of Palazzo dei Venti, Mercurio is the one that feels most connected to a sense of freedom.

It was the last to undergo restoration, with its spaces opened up to create a room for those who love letting the mountains in through the windows.

Outside, of course, lies the Cervo Valley, but Mercurio seems to have borrowed some of its breath — along with a few stories still preserved in Barbara’s memories.
