A few steps away from the old Locanda, where it all began, stands the exclusive Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa, La Veranda and Le Salette restaurants, the Wellness Area, the swimming pool, the Cantinetta and the fine shops. During the winter months you may witness a unique view of an unusual weather phenomenon, the “low fog”. The fog lies like a soft white blanket on the Serchio Valley, with the Pania della Croce and the town of Barga rising above like islands in the middle of a magical “fog ocean”.
