Jæja.. As the start of an exciting summer season cycle comes to us, we are also closing other cycles and shifting our energy to focus on the well-being of this project as a whole. That’s why after 5 years of operation, we have decided to close BioBorgari at our current location. It’s been five years of lots of learning, growth and love that has nurtured us the whole way in this small space with such a big spirit! 💚
This closing will not mean that BioBorgari will vanish forever.. Oh, no.. We look forward to transforming the concept of this project through this summertime and turning it into a POP-UP project, either being hosted on our farm .holt, or doing appearances in Reykjavík, Akureyri, Dalvík, East Fjords, summer festivals, the possibilities are endless! 🔥
Our mission and purpose has shifted our focus to attend a major crisis around the lack of food sovereignty in Iceland, so we will be regenerating and healing our farmland while producing quality vegetables that we mean to share with our community and directly contribute to the development of a better food system in Iceland. 💚
We will keep our regular opening hours at BioBorgari until the last weekend of May. So if you want to enjoy your last batches of burgers, you’re welcome to come through this next few weeks! 🍔🍔🍔
Also we will slowly start transitioning to our summer project with all the vegetable produce we’re starting to grow in our farm, so please let us know if you’re interested in getting some small plants to start this summer season nicely! 🌱
With love & light,
BioBorgari Team
