🧐 Look what we found!
While carrying out w**d control on roadside reserves, in partnership with Light Regional Council, our contractors made an exciting discovery - the silver daisy-bush!
This native shrub is rated as endangered in the Northern and Yorke region and is classified as vulnerable under both the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972. And it has never been recorded in this location before!

Russell Johnstone was a highly respected community leader in the Barossa region, known for his passionate advocacy for the environment and First Nations peoples. As Chairperson of the Barossa Bushgardens Section 41 Committee, he played a key role in strategic planning and mentoring staff and volunteers. He also served on the Northern and Yorke Landscape Board and contributed significantly to the Natural Resource Management (NRM) sector.

The Waterbug Bioblitz is back! 💦
Join us for a fun, hands-on day exploring the health of our local waterways in Clare and the Barossa Valley.
You’ll work alongside ecologists and Landscape Board staff to test water quality, hunt for tiny water creatures (macroinvertebrates), and learn how our creeks and rivers are doing.

Two types of grants are available to protect and enhance areas of native vegetation such as trees, grasslands and shrubs.

Projects are sought on properties in your region. Grant-funded work can include activities such as fencing to keep out stock, w**d control and revegetation.
