Attention Vestrahorn visitors! 📢

On Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, our Viking village will be closed to visitors due to a film shoot taking place on site.

You're still welcome to visit the Vestrahorn area and see the Viking village and ship from outside, you just won't be able to enter the village itself on these two days.

Normal access resumes Monday, July 27. Thanks for your understanding.

One of the most challenging wildlife sightings at Vestrahorn is the timid and cunning artic fox. By changing its coat to stay hidden in the winter snow they make themselves extremely hard to spot. 🦊

Dear Visitors 💙

The Viking Village at Vestrahorn will be temporarily closed from November 27th. until December 10th. This is because our beloved village is once again going to play a starring role as a film set and will also undergo some much-needed maintenance.

While the Viking Village takes a short break, we encourage you to explore the other stunning parts of Vestrahorn, including the majestic mountain views and the iconic black sand beach. Our Viking Cafe Guesthouse and Campsite remain open, ready to welcome you with warm hospitality.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We can’t wait to share the magic of the Viking Village with you once it reopens, better than ever!
