Our house is centrally located in the quiet and peaceful historic center of Akureyri, surrounded by beautiful restored traditional houses. It counts 150 years of history and is one of the oldest houses in town, build in 1886 by a local gold smith. We have been completely renewing it and started now to choose the furniture. As we are travellers, photographers and mindfulness coaches, we know very well the needs of travelling in the arctic and will carefully choose the furniture and items with lots of bright, natural and cozy materials and Nordic design. Our house is centrally located in the quiet and peaceful historic center of Akureyri, surrounded by beautiful restored traditional houses. We live partly in Reykjavík and partly in Akureyri. When we're around, we stay in the same house. The "Capital of the North" is perfectly located for day tours in Northern Iceland. Discover the famous waterfalls Dettifoss and Godafoss, Lake Myvatn with its geothermal area and the nature bath or Siglufjordur, the town of the TV-show "Trapped". Akureyri itself is a beautiful small town with plenty of activities like whale watching, skiing, horse riding, great shopping and dining and uncountable hiking opportunities. It has one of the nicest swimming pools in Iceland, which is only a five minutes ride away. For those who are doing the ring road, Akureyri is the perfect slightly urban stop after a long ride in the arctic wilderness. Here you can enjoy Iceland as it's best off the beaten path.
