Dear Valued Customers,
Hope you all are doing well.
A thought has been on my mind ever since my Zomato manager recently visited. He informed me that the platform is increasing its commission percentage. Moreover, many delivery riders are quitting due to low payouts, which is affecting service quality.
To address this, Zomato has now introduced a Long Distance Fee (LDF):
For deliveries above 4–6 km, restaurants will be charged ₹10 per order.
For deliveries above 6 km, the charge increases to ₹25 per order—paid by the restaurant.
Now, as business owners, we cannot increase food prices on a daily basis to cover these extra charges, because:
We don’t want to lose you, our loyal customers, by raising prices.
And we’re committed to maintaining the same quality of food you love.
So here's a humble request:
If you wish to order from us, please call us directly. We will arrange delivery via PORTER, helping you avoid unnecessary platform fees and helping us avoid high commissions.
Thank you for your continued support. You've always stood by us, and we truly appreciate it.
Warm regards,
Food Hut
