THE WISHBONE HEALTH CLUB
We convened our first meeting cm demo class on 25th October Sunday. The elected members of the committee President Mrs.Radha Panicker, Vice President Dr.G.Sugeetha, Secretary Mrs.Rajani Nair, Joint Secretary Mrs.Girija Rajashekaran and the Executive Members were present. The health-conscious audience also included home-makers, doctors, teachers and fitness enthusiasts.
Dr.Lalitha Appukuttan, whose brain child Wishbone Health Club is, stressed on the importance of organic health cooking in today’s age and that the occurrence of lifestyle disorders can be curtailed only by adapting an organic diet. She aptly answered the queries of the audience of which many were regarding the usage of Coconut oil vs Sunflower oil, use of ghee, use of milk and milk products, nuts etc. The audience was so thrilled to see that very less time was consumed to make very colorful and healthy dishes using various combinations of veggies ,mushrooms,corn, beetroot etc. The leaves of moringa tree , ragi milk ,jaggery etc never tasted so divine before ,exclaimed most of them. In about an hour’s time Doctor Lalitha came up with the Whole-some colorful salad , Cool beet juice, a combo-sabji made of Bengal gram cabbage and moringa leaves, a nutty and chewy mushroom-corn soup with ragi milk as its base and a tasty oats dessert which tasted heaven with no ghee or the fattening cashewnuts. The tips given were well noted by the audience who are waiting for more such informative sessions.
As put by one of our patrons ‘Food that is the right blend of the Rajogunam and Satvik gunam helps in the balance of our body and mind’. This is our aim - To spread the way of right life through the right eating habits and eating organic food. We at Eishbone aim at Absolute Health cooking.
The next meeting would be convened in the month of November and all would be notified in advance.
