I took a walk down Sainikpuri road last night, and honestly, the whole ā€œfootpath is for pedestriansā€ argument feels like a joke.
If footpaths are truly meant for walking, then where exactly is the space to walk? It’s not just about street vendors—cars are parked all along the stretch, construction materials are left scattered, and in many places, the path is already blocked.
From Belgian Waffle to United Church, the footpath is practically taken over by shops. How is that allowed? How does that become acceptable, but small vendors are singled out?
Why couldn’t I walk freely on the footpath?
Why are vehicles allowed to be parked there?
Why are customers standing and occupying the space without any regulation?
Where is the enforcement when it comes to permanent encroachments?
And most importantly—why are there no complaints or action about that?
If the concern is truly about pedestrian safety and accessibility, shouldn’t the same standards apply to everyone?

25/04/2026

The footpath may not belong to us, but we’ve taken responsibility for it. We’ve kept it clean, maintained it, and made sure it’s usable for everyone. When people said they needed more space to walk, we didn’t argue—we moved back immediately.
Hygiene has always been a priority. For the past year, that stretch hasn’t been maintained by the authorities—it’s been us, consistently, through rain, dust, and everything in between.
We’re not here to create inconvenience. We’re here to work. This space allows us to earn honestly and support ourselves. And we’ve made sure to respect it while doing so.
But realistically—how many people can you remove? How many livelihoods can be controlled like this? Street vending exists because there is demand, and because people need to work.
Cities aren’t meant to function for only one group. They work when everyone finds a way to exist together.
We’ve adjusted, followed rules, and done our part. Expecting coexistence isn’t unreasonable—it’s practical.

I’ve been questioned by so many people about whether I even have a license to do what I’m doing. Let me make this clear—I spent three months going to every single GHMC office, asking the right questions, and getting the proper permissions before I started.
I didn’t cut corners. I followed every rule given to me.
The Sainikpuri association itself advised us to use biodegradable packaging, and despite the higher cost compared to plastic, I chose to follow that. Hygiene has always been a priority—I use gloves and maintain clean practices at all times. I also make sure to use good-quality ingredients, because I care about what I serve.
If you genuinely have questions about rules or permissions, ask me. I am more than willing to answer.
But don’t make assumptions. Don’t disrespect our work by calling it ā€œdhanda.ā€ This is our livelihood, built with effort, patience, and honesty.
Focus on the date šŸ“…

To the authorities of Hyderabad:
If your intention is to regulate footpath vendors, we understand. Public spaces need order, and rules must be followed. But governance is not just about action—it is about how that action is carried out.
Right now, what we are experiencing is not regulation. It feels like targeting the most vulnerable.
What is the definition of ā€œillegalā€ here?
Are small vendors, trying to earn a daily living, the biggest problem this city faces?
We are not outsiders. We are residents. We have built our lives here for years. The rise in vendors in areas like Sainikpuri is not random—it reflects where people are coming, where business survives, and where livelihoods are still possible.
Let’s be clear:
We provide food because there is demand.
We do not control where people park.
We do not create the traffic—urban growth, poor planning, and commercial spaces without parking do.
Yet, no equal action is taken there.
Why?
Because we are easier to remove? Easier to silence?
Many of us would willingly move into proper commercial spaces—but those spaces are priced far beyond what small entrepreneurs can afford. Not everyone starts with capital. Some of us are building from nothing.
Despite that, we have acted responsibly:
We maintain cleanliness.
We avoid littering.
We manage our surroundings.
We followed the instructions given to us.
We were told we could operate under certain conditions and remove when asked—and we agreed.
So then explain this:
If we were cooperating, why were our setups broken?
Why was force used when there was no resistance?
And more importantly—
Why are officials speaking in a manner that questions a woman’s dignity?
A statement like, ā€œI don’t know what you’ve done with the CM to avoid removal earlierā€ is not just unprofessional—it is unacceptable.
This is not governance. This is intimidation.
We are not asking to break rules.
We are asking for fair treatment, clear policy, and basic respect.
If action must be taken, take it lawfully.
Give notice. Allow compliance. Maintain dignity.
Because the strength of a government is not shown in how it treats the powerful—
but in how it treats those who are simply

I want to talk about something that has been sitting very heavy on my heart.
We are not people who just showed up one day and decided to break rules or create problems. We are people who have been working day and night, putting in everything we have just to survive honestly. Every single day is a struggle, but we still show up, we still work hard, and we still try to do things the right way.
But today… today really broke something inside me.
I found myself standing alone in a corner, facing 10–15 men. Just me. One person. And despite everything — despite the fear, despite the pressure — I stood there and spoke. I raised my voice, I asked the questions I was told to ask. Questions that I learned when I went to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation office myself. They clearly told me — if anyone comes from any division, you have the right to ask them: Which division are you from? Show me the legal document that says I need to remove this.
So I asked.
But no one had answers.
And what hurt even more… not one person from the road, not one passerby, not one member of the public came forward to stand beside me. I was shouting, I was fighting for what is right, not just for me but for all of us — and still, I was completely alone. That silence from people around me was louder than anything else.
On top of that, the disrespect I faced… the humiliation… it’s something I cannot even fully put into words. I spoke politely. I didn’t argue unnecessarily. I simply asked — why would you bring everything down when we clearly told you we are coming in two minutes? They could have waited. Just two minutes. That’s all it would have taken to handle things with basic decency.
But they didn’t wait.
Instead, it felt personal. It felt like anger, like frustration was being taken out on us. And in that moment, they didn’t just remove a cart — they broke it. Something we built with so much effort, something that feeds us, something that represents our hard work… destroyed in minutes.
Now I want to ask — who is responsible for this?
Who is going to take accountability for the damage?
Who is going to answer for the loss we have to bear?
Who is goin

" Meet The Backstabbers "

We thought we were doing something nice to help a friend,
but that friend betrayed us in thanks.
When they got cheated and weren't getting a space to put up a business,
that's when we offered to collaborate so that it helps them as well as gives us sometime to pick up.
But looks like one shouldn't be nice and help anyone in need,
because there are consequences you won't like! We only decided to give them the backyard of our space,
but they seemed to want the whole space, so went behind our back,
spoke to the landlord and turned the whole situation in a day making the landlord believe that we were subletting the space which we weren't.
Our landlord, who had up until last 1 month been our greatest support,
turned agains us ven though we followed his instructions suddenly made us hear unnecessary words

It all happened so fast that it doesn't even feel entirely real yet.

We did everything just to save the cafe.
We tried to partner & collaborate with a "friend" to keep the cafe running , but around 11 pm when we went oack to turn a light on they locked us out of our own cafe by changing the locks like sneaky foxes.
Rejecting all the calls I made at night

We spent that night sleepless trying to contact every friend,
an attorney, trying to find a way to get back what was ours.
They manipulated our landlord, defamed us and called us names. LIKE CHEAP UNEDUCATED & WHAT NOT

We had to spend a whole week clearing the things and erasing the identity of People's Choicee
THE two of us packed ,loaded unloaded and had to being home from that place while they watched us breakdown without a hint of apology on their faces or demeanor.
