Bavdhan…one of our most favourite areas in the entire city! We have a feel-good factor associated with this part of Pune. So we thought of telling you guys about 6 places located in Bavdhan that are our trusted options to grab a yummy bite. From a full-fledged meal to a quick roll, we recommend these 6 places as a must try when around this area. Whether you’re a resident or are out for a drive and headed towards Chandni Chowk, gone are the days when just a coffee had to suffice. Check out this list and save yourself the trouble of wondering next time.
1. I'm Lion, Strictly non/veg

A definite must visit for lovers of meat when in this part of the city…You really feel like a lion when you have so many non-vegetarian dishes in front of you with such a homely aroma of fish and pungent spices! Run by an enthusiastic hospitality professional who has adapted the traditional Goan and Mangalorean recipes from his mother, I am Lion is the place for you if you LOVE FISH. It is a small joint in Bavdhan on the first floor of a shopping complex and we must tell you that the taste of the food over here is very homely!
2. Good Times Cafe

Countless number of first dates, embarrassing b’day songs, spiteful professor/boss discussions and morning evening doses of chai… a lot happens at hang outs near colleges and offices. And we think one such super popular adda at Bavdhan is Good Times Café. We really love the vibe of the hustle bustle and chitter chatter and infectious songs. Trust us, such places, no matter how small, are usually the best spots for food-served-with-love…The flavour, variety and price of the yummy food served here is a true delight!

Good music, good company, good times. Perfect combo, isn’t it? Add delectable food and perfect ambience to this combo and you’ve found the perfect description of an evening at Red Berry, The Caff. Entering the café is like a pleasant getaway from the hustle and bustle.The café boasts of a chilling zone for friends, free WiFi and an upstairs area, with a special candle light theme, reserved exclusively for couples. Finally coming to our favourite part, the food, another thumbs-up from us!

Another must visit if you love fish and meat, when in Bavdhan, is Fishland. The starters at Fishland are not just about Rawa fried fish or grilled fish, but they are much more than that when it comes to appetizers and just food in general. Different sauces and unique tadkas make their food really unique! What’s mention-worthy about this place is that the seafood at FishLand doesn’t stink or doesn’t have that overly strong aroma that’s unpleasant. More importantly, the fish served here is not just Basa, unlike most other places we’ve checked out. We’re so glad we can simply head to Bavdhan instead of Bangalore to enjoy their delicious preparations.
5. Yamass - Cheers to good health

Over the past few years, the typical North Indian serving places have ruined the real North Indian cuisine feel by serving average and not so authentic food. Yamass is one of the very few places in Pune serving Mughlai food which is quite close to its authentic taste. Situated in the interiors of Bavdhan, the place has a very small setup. However, even though the place is small, the food is quite grand! Do relish a typical Mughlai meal here to experience the real taste and authentic complex recipes.

Yes there’s some contradiction with the name and timing of Shawarma at The Breakfast Cafe! But who cares when you get to indulge saucy fresh shawarma at one of the most romantic atmospheres in the city, in Bavdhan to be specific! Their Irani chef is very particular about every minute detail when it comes to the food. This makes their shawarma just perfect; soft, juicy and tasty! We believe you don’t need our advice to go to Bavdhan for a romantic evening! We totally recommend heading to this place post work for a memorable evening!
