Not Yeti and The Monk Episode 1!!!

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a space finally opens its doors. The delays, the chaos, the last minute fixes, the random breakdowns, the small wins, and the stories nobody really gets to see.

So we thought, why not document all of it?

Not Yeti and The Monk is our little unfiltered corner of the internet where we share everything happening around the world of Yeti and The Monk. The people, the process, the madness, and all the moments in between that don’t always make it to the final polished post.😉

For Episode 1, the Khadki outlet is still fully under construction. Dust everywhere, work still going on, everybody running around trying to make things happen, but we’re finally opening next week. 👀

See you soon, Khadki.

These are the hands behind Yeti and the Monk.
The ones you don’t always see, but the ones that hold everything together.♥️

Different people, different roles, but all part of the same rhythm.
There’s history here, there’s instinct, and there’s a shared way of doing things that shows up in everything the place becomes.

No faces, just presence.
A quieter way of seeing the people who shape the space, not through who they are individually, but through what they are a part of.

And just like before, it all comes back to the process.
The same hands, the same food, the same story finding its way into the film, bringing everything together without needing to say much at all.✨

Film Soup, where a shoot slowly turns into a story you can almost taste.

1. The three co-founders sit together at their own table, something that almost never happens when they are busy running the place. What starts as a slightly staged moment gradually softens into something real, as they settle in and just be themselves. It brings all the main faces into one frame and works as a natural cover for the story.

2. The food here does not just sit on the plate, it shapes the images themselves. The film rolls are marinated in thukpa, so the colours and tones come directly from it. It becomes almost like a flavour profile, where the dish is not just served, it becomes part of the image.

3. The chefs cook the dishes they enjoy making the most, and pork chops come up instantly. The process unfolds naturally, with no interruptions, just movement and instinct. The same dish becomes part of the photography process, so what you see is not just food being made, but the shoot itself taking shape.

4. Chef Biki is the most expressive when it comes to the food and its flavours, especially since much of the menu comes from his hometown. That connection shows in the way he cooks, with care and intent in every step. It becomes a moment worth capturing, and later the same food becomes part of the process, with the film rolls cooked in it to bring everything together.

Stay tuned for the next batch!🖤

It started with a random birthday DM.

Mohit reached out saying he wanted to do something productive that day and asked if we would be open to experimenting with a concept called Film Soup.

One conversation turned into many, and soon we were building something with no rules, just instinct.

What followed was a collaboration where food, film, and process came together in the most unfiltered way.

This reel is a glimpse into the behind the scenes, the energy, and the moments that shaped it all.

Film Soup. Born from a DM, built on creativity.

Stay tuned for the pictures!🖤
