🎶 Hey everyone! Join us this Friday for **Sitar Electronica** at Acajaiba! 🎶

We have a special live fusion set with Santosh on the sitar and Hemant doing an electronic set, with some vocals, and the marchang.

The sitar, mostly is made from teak wood and gourd, with strings that produce a deep, resonant sound. The posture while playing a Sitar is referred to as SUKHASANA (translates to: the posture for joy) indeed the sounds it creates would translate into a state of joy ,unattached.

The marchang is a versatile percussion instrument whose origin lays in the folk tales from different parts of India and was an important part of performing arts back then. The use of marchang to create a lasting percussion was also a style common to many theatre traditions in states like Rajasthan, Bengal, Assam, and others. Prevalence has also been found in the music of South India.
Together, they create a unique musical experience.

We're thrilled to present "Fairy Tales from the Land of Manding" featuring Ilya and Friends. Prepare to be transported by the sounds of the Kora, a traditional West African instrument renowned for its melodies and unique harmonies.

The Manding region, rich in history and culture, spans parts of present-day Mali, Guinea, and Senegal. It's home to the Mandinka people, who have preserved their stories and traditions through music for centuries. The kora, often called the "African harp," plays a central role in these oral traditions, weaving tales of heroes, legends, and the timeless spirit of the Manding people.

After Ilya's set, the night gets even better as Natasha and Gala join in. It sets right with the curiosity for new sounds and souls. And to keep the dance going, we'll have an intimate afro DJ set later into the night
