I'm slowly quitting ALOT of fondant as a baker.

Why?
Do you eat it? Do u enjoy it if you do?

I believe that fondant makes a cake stand out and really pretty but...

My main reason for giving up on fondant eventually was because I developed spondylitis with time and I cannot work on delicate stuff anymore.. but.. I also realised and watched people take off fondant articles and bin it.. only realising it was so temporary. Hours of labor just giving temporary satisfaction. It didnt make sense to me and as a baker who has been baking for 9 years.. Ive nearly stopped and I'm happier when cakes are more edible and less wasted. I dont discourage or mean anything negative to fondant artists or bakers but this is my take on it and Id like you to know why I say no to fondant cakes & requests.

Im a very minimalist fondant cake decorator and I enjoy my work more when its classic, simple and elegant. Its my type of cakes and I appreciate all of you who support my work the way I enjoy making it for you ❤️
