Parvati begins to meditate. For thousands of years, she stands on one leg in hot coals. For thousands of years, she stands on the other leg in the cold snow. During these meditations, she builds tapas, inner heat, and her own power grows so strong that Shiva, deep in his meditation, feels her presence and awakens from his meditation. Shiva and Parvati marry and later discuss yoga.

Parvati doesn’t gain Shiva’s attention because she is beautiful. She gains his attention because her inner light was brilliant. Parvati, unable to rely on wishing and hoping, has to go on an inner journey.

Each of us has this journey to go on. Along the way, we fall down, tip over, get twisted, and arrive wiser. Parvati represents that part of us that doesn’t give up. She shows us that hard work and inner discipline are necessary for growth.

Whenever we desire something that makes us feel alive, we must travel to our heart center to find it. We look at people who seem to be living our dream and wish for their attention, their money, their love, their luck, or their life.

This story shows us we can manifest our desires into reality, but we have to be willing to do the work. Let go of expectations and get in the dirt. Parvati did not raise her vibrations by placing flowers dotingly at Shiva’s feet, but rather by standing on her own. Connect to the dazzling brilliance within, believe in your own inner strength, continue to develop your inner power, and experience how everything unfolds for you.

The legends of Shiva and Shakti are well-known in Indian culture. As the story goes, Shiva separates from His Shakti so as to let Her enter into creation. She is the power that has gone into creation. He then withdraws into deep trance, oblivious of the world.

To bring him out of his trance so as to keep the balance of the world, Shri Vishnu the preserver prays to the Divine Mother to come down and rescue creation out of the inevitable state of chaos towards which it is tending to in the absence of Shiva.

The father, Daksha, then performs a cosmic yagna to give each element of creation its due share. However he refuses to give the due share to Shiva, the husband of his daughter Sati. Sati is furious at this insolence and, assuming her divine form, offers her body itself as a sacrifice in the yagna of her father.

On knowing about this, Shiva’s emanations destroy the yagna, and Shiva himself, assuming his Rudra aspect, beheads Daksha. Later, at the request of the gods, he does revive Daksha but with a goat’s head affixed to his torso.

Now the peculiar thing about this head is that it is fixed in the opposite way so that when the head looks forward the feet point backwards and vice versa, creating a confusion.

Meanwhile after a long gap, Sati is reborn as Uma Parvati. She undertakes lot of penance to appease Shiva who had once again plunged into trance of self-oblivion. To bring him out of his trance the gods conspire and with the help of Kamadeva, the god of vital love, pierce arrows of love into Shiva’s heart.

Shiva eventually emerges but even as he casts his gaze on Kamadeva with his third eye, the body of Kamadeva is burnt but his consciousness remains becoming impersonal and universal. Shiva then beholds Uma Parvati and pleased with herpenance , marries her.

Through intense tapasya She reclaims all Her Powers and thus uniting with Shiva opens the doors to a New creation, based on Truth. In this new creation Shiva representing theSpiritand Shakti representingNature shall unite in a perfect and harmonious embrace.

It’s a widely-known fact in Hinduism that, “whosoever is graced by the holy blessings of Lord Shiva never has to worry about attaining ‘mukti or moksha’.” According to ancient sages, merely chanting of his name with chaste devotion brings us closer to him.

Although Lord Shiva showers his blessings, if someone simply offers clean water on shivlinga, with loyalty, but there are certain things that pleases him to the core.

Lord Hanuman is still alive and roams around the world. He is present where Ramayana is recited with devotion. He answers the daily prayers and worship of his devotees. He fulfills their desires. Hanuman ji is Sankat Mochan as he removes the troubles of his devotees. Merely by remembering the name of Hanuman ji , a devotee can get rid of all the troubles in his life.

Hanuman Upasana (prayers and worship) is performed daily for good intelligence, fame, strength, courage and for good health. One can find a solution and get relief to even the most tiring problem in life if a devotee has the unwavering devotion of Hanuman ji.

To alleviate problems in life, chant Hanuman Chalisa or Bajrang Baan daily. It is believed that chanting any one of the prayers daily with utmost devotion will help in achieving peace and prosperity. Along with chanting the prayer, one should show kindness towards all living beings.

For peace and prosperity in life, a devotee should read Sundarkhand from Ramayana. Sundarkhand is the fourth main chapter in the Ramcharitamanas. This is the most widely read chapter in the Ramayana because it contains the stories of Hanuman ji.

The chapter narrates the strength, courage, power, intelligence, valor, bhakti and humor of Lord Hanuman. Listening or reading Sundarkhand motivates and provides positive strength to a person.

Each doha in the Sundarkhand contains hidden symbolism. It is filled with advice and ideas on how to face problems in life.

Hanuman ji is ever pleased to listen to Ramayan and his presence is felt in places where it is read with devotion and piety. A devotee should chant the mantra “ॐ श्री हनुमते नम:” (Om Shri Hanumate Namah) 108 times daily. This mantra helps in keeping out all kinds of negative energy.

Unwavering devotion will always be answered. But the problem in Kali Yuga is that we doubt our own prayers. We first want to know about the benefits of a prayer. Lord Hanuman got everything in life through the unwavering devotion to Sri Rama. So instead of focusing on benefits and result, first develop true devotion. Remember him always.

THE IMPOSSIBLE BECOMES POSSIBLE WITH Lord HANUMAN.

It is often believed that Sri Hanuman can convert the impossible to possible. That is very aptly conveyed in the 9th verse of Chalisa-

SUKSHMA RUP DHARI SIYAIN DIKHAVA
BIKAT RUP DHARI LANKA JALAWA.

Let’s try to understand the inner meaning of Chalisa’s 9th verse.

It is clear from above verse that Sri Hanuman took the tiniest form to meet Maa Sita and Gigantic form to burn Lanka.

This verse begins a series of allusions to lord Hanuman's heroic deeds, as described in the Ramayana.

After Maa Sita was kidnapped by the demon Ravan, Sri Rama dispatched his monkey allies to search through the world for her. With a mighty leap, lord Hanuman leaped over the ocean to Lanka and found Maa Sita held captive in a forest grove Ashok Vatika, despairing of ever being rescued.

Lord Hanuman is popularly believed to possess magical powers, one of which is the ability to change his size at will. He became very small in order to sneak into the garden, and reassured Maa Sita that Rama was coming to rescue her, showing her Ramas signet ring as evidence that he was truly Ramas messenger.

After fighting with the demons guarding the garden and tearing up many of the trees in it, lord Hanuman was tied up and brought before Ravan, although realized that he could not kill an envoy, but decided to torture lord Hanuman by tying oil-soaked rags to his tail, and lighting them on fire.

Lord Hanuman first magically lengthened his tail so that immense quantities of rags and oil were used, then slipped through his bonds by magically becoming small. He then assumed a gigantic form and leaped through the city, setting the city on fire.

So, Shri Hanuman Chalisa is passionate plea for the impossible to become possible as long as there is a will.

Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman is said to be originated at the time of war between Ravana and Lord Rama. During the war, Ravana took help of Ahiravana, the King of Pataala Lok (nether world).

Ahiravana appeared in the form of Vibhishana. Then, he took Shri Rama and Lakshmana to Pataala Lok. Hanuman Ji, in order to protect them, formed a fortress with his tail and entered Pataala Lok. There he found that he had to extinguish five lamps burning in five different directions at the same time to kill Ahiravana.

So he appeared in the form of Panchmukhi Hanuman with Hanuman, Hayagriva, Narasimha, Garuda and Varaha faces. And, killed Ahiravana by extinguishing the five lamps.

Every Face of Shri Panchamukha Hanuman has significance-

Shri Hanuman faces East. He grants purity of mind and success. (Ishta Siddhi).

The South facing Narasimha grants victory and fearlessness. (Abhista Siddhi).

The West facing Garuda removes black magic and poisons. (Sakala Saubhagya).

The North facing Varaha, showers prosperity, wealth. (Dhan Prapti).

The Hayagriva mukha faces the Sky. But since we cannot see it, it is usually tilted and shown above Hanuman’s face. Hayagriva gives knowledge and good children.” (Sarva Vidya Jaya Prapti).

The five ways to worship Panchmukhi Hanuman are Naman, Smaran, Keerthanam, Yachanam and Arpanam. Hanuman Ji followed this path of Bhakti yoga in his love for Lord Rama.

Lord Krishna tells Arjun in Bhagwat Geeta, “He who acts for me, who is engrossed in me, who is my devotee, who is free from attachment, he reaches me”. All these 5 qualities are enshrined in Lord Hanuman.

“Just as fire applied to gold removes any discoloration caused by traces of other metals, Lord Vishnu within the heart purifies the minds of the yogis.”~Srimad Bhagavatam.

Lord Vishnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the enjoyer of all sacrifices, is the time factor and the master of all masters. He enters everyone’s heart, He is the support of everyone, and He causes every being to be annihilated by another.

He is the master of the creation, maintenance and annihilation of this visible cosmic manifestation, yet He is completely free from false prestige. Although to the foolish He appears to have accepted a material body like us, He is unaffected by bodily tribulations like hunger, thirst and fatigue.

Although He is the witness who sees everything, His senses are unpolluted by the objects He sees. Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto that unattached, pure witness of the world, the Supreme Soul, the Personality of Godhead.”~ Srimad Bhagavatam.

Shri Narayana Mantra – Shri Vishnu Mool Mantra -

It is a simple, yet powerful mantra to please the preserver, Lord Vishnu and is also known as Vishnu Mool Mantra.

Hanuman ji constantly chanted the name of Rama that helped him to achieve many wonderful feats. It was through the power of Rama’s name, he was able to cross the wide ocean of several miles in just one leap to Lanka and was able to find Maa Sita in Ravana’s “Ashoka Vatika.” When the vaanaras were building the bridge on the unfathomable ocean to go to Lanka, the rocks drowned in the water. Hanuman ji simply said, ‘chant Rama’s divine name and the rocks would not sink. The vanaras complied and immediately the rocks floated, they were convinced in the efficacy of Lord Rama’s name and the bridge was built.

Hanuman ji wanted to carry the mountain in the Himalayas that contained the herbs to save Rama, Lakshmana and the vaanara army, who were wounded and were lying unconscious in the battlefield. Only by Rama’s powerful name he lifted and brought the mountain, which saved the lives of Rama and others. Rama was saved only by the power of his name! Again, when Lakshmana was about to die with severe wounds, Hanuman ji for the second time, brought the mountain from the Himalayas with the speed of the wind and saved Lakshmana, only by the power of Rama’s name.

Further, with the power of Rama’s name, Hanuman ji was able to enter the nether world, where Rama and Lakshmana were imprisoned by Ahiravana and were unconscious by his spell. When they were about to be sacrificed to the Goddess Kali , just at the nick of the time Hanuman ji entered and killed Ahiravana and others. No doubt, Sri Rama protects his virtuous devotees, and destroys the wicked enemies. But, when it came to save Rama, just uttering His name was powerful enough for Hanuman ji to kill the enemies and carry the unconscious Rama and Lakshmana on his shoulders to their camp. Again the power of Rama’s name saved Rama himself.

Jai Shri Ram ~ Jai Mahaveer Hanuman! 💕🐍
