The Leher foundation started out with only 3 girls but now have around 200 children under their wings. They also plan on expanding their all-girls organization to boys as well. The Leher foundation has four centers at which they conduct their sessions, one at Chembur,Elphinston Road , Bandra and the other at Ambedkar Nagar, Colaba. The Lehar foundation tries to address issues like education etc, e
specially through the medium of football. They believe that even though the resources required for the game is relatively less, the game provides a strong value base. It teaches the girls various life skills like team work, leadership etc. A sport also speaks a universal language that is able to emotionally combine and unite groups. Thus through the medium of sports, the Lehar Foundation aims at touching and empowering the lives of many of this city’s underprivileged Girls.
