We played Canvas 🎨 by !
Amitha & I were particularly excited by seeing the table setup: box art, pretty mat, cute ribbon tokens and the transparent cards!
(the easels come with the Deluxe version but we got them separately 😉)
-Canvas is a gateway game. Thus, we highly recommed for new players and casual gamers.
- It has simple rules, elegant gameplay and clever scoring mechanism.
- The mechanism of Increase Value of Unchosen resources is not new, other games like Century Spice Road do that's as well and we love it ❤️
Thoughts:
+ Theme : Fits well
+ Gameplay : Refreshing with some good decision-making
+ Game Art : Oo-la-la
+ Complexity : Light/ Gateway
+ Replayability : High
+ What we liked: Scoring, Transparent cards and how they come together, Overall art & Graphic design, thoughtfulness by the publisher.

**NO SPOILERS**. ⛔ Amitha & I have started playing Chronicles Of Crime: 2400 (the millennium series) by . (TL:DR OH my god we love it so much) Full thoughts below...

We're both fans of the original Chronicles of Crime (Coc) which came out in 2018 followed by this millennium series with Coc 1400, 1900 & 2400. 👫

- We haven't been able to get our hands on the 1400 & 1900 versions but the publishers were kind enough to help out with a copy of 2400.

- Our fascination with cooperative crime solving began with Sherlock Holmes : Consulting Detective and immediately got took over by Chronicles of Crime. With our schedules, This is the only cooperative game that me and wifey like to play. (we're generally super competitive and childish)

- We found The companion app for this game is more user friendly, which is great for people who are first time players of the series. Also the Music Compliments to the in-game tension. I feel this deserves more appreciation 👏

Thoughts...
+ Theme : Cyberpunk Dystopia (yeah!)
+ Gameplay : Engaging and Intense
+ Game Art : Fits perfectly to the theme and has more mystery in each illustration than other versions I've played.
+ Difficulty : Medium-High
+ Additions we loved so far : Cybernetic Implants, Cyber Raven, New Location type (virtual world)

- Replayability : Comes with 4 cases in the base game. (I honestly don't mind playing the same one again with different groups)

Furnace 🔥 by is the game with all my favourite mechanisms: Auction 🛎️and Engine building. What more can I ask for? 😀

I was hesitant at first but then I caught a couple of reviews and a play through by gamenight and immediately got one for myself. Easily one of my top 10 for 2021!
