The Story behind Babaji Classic:

Dinkar Babaji Dhawaskar, one of the most hardworking person ever known, was born on 8th January, 1934, in a small town called Mapusa. Popularly known as ‘Dada’ or ‘Dina’, he owned and overlooked a small shop in the heart of Mapusa, named after his beloved father - ‘Babaji’.

Mr. Dinkar Dhawaskar started as a small-time worker, and after gaining a lot of knowledge and experience, decided to accomplish his dream of having one of the best shops in Goa. ‘Babaji’ was the successful product of this decision by Mr. Dinkar Dhawaskar, which has branched its success across 6 different locations in Goa. His dream could not be achieved without the love and support of his beloved wife Mrs. Jyoti Dinkar Dhawaskar. A man of words and wisdom, with a determination to show the world what he is made of, he decided to step foot in the industry. With a penny in his hand and a supporting wife, who always stood by his side, shoulder to shoulder, she became the backbone of support and a pillar of courage and perseverance for his dream.

He was a man who believed in the policy of honesty and said that lies made you nothing else but a bigger liar. He would often say that a person with patience is a winner. He believed that success has no shortcut and life is all about hard work and winning. His character, personality and sincerity is what made people respect and love him. He was an ambitious man with the aim that he would not let his dream die, therefore, making it a point that his children would follow his footsteps, which they have.
