Long, long ago in South India, a curious cook tried to make a batch of rice batter for idlis. But he left the batter out too long... and it fermented! Rather than waste it, he poured the bubbly batter on a hot pan – and surprise! It sizzled, crisped, and smelled divine.

What he created wasn’t idli... it was something better – the first dosa! 😍
From that happy kitchen accident, dosa began its journey – from Tamil temples to street carts in Bangalore and five-star buffets in Delhi.
