Curling around a misty ridge 2,000 ft high in the Periyar fastness, we found an arborarium, one man's personal forest, with fruit trees, rare herbs and a profusion of flowering plants. A village, produced whole, using mountain spirit and tribal wisdom as building material.

At Spice Village, food doesn’t have to travel far. It’s grown, gathered, and guided into the kitchen from our 2-acre organic farm just metres away. Seasonal vegetables, fruits, and spices are cultivated using traditional methods, enriched by vermicompost from our own kitchen waste. Natural pest control and mixed farming keep the ecosystem in balance, while local farming communities tend the land.
