Rahul and the whole team at Banana Leaf Kovalam are delighted to announce that we are the proud winners of Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice Award 2026.

Since first winning the award in 2025 we have worked hard to try to improve the restaurant for our customers and team alike and will try our best to continue with this.

We would like to thank everyone for their Tripadvisor reviews which have resulted in our award.

If anyone has not left a review for more than six months, please do leave one. This helps us a lot.

Reviews bring us many more customers and this helps us to improve our offering further.

We have some great ideas in the pipeline for the new season and we can't wait to open the doors, we hope next month! See you soon.

5 Sept 2026 Banana Leaf Restaurant Kovalam is starting to wake from our off-season rest.

We will soon start the post monsoon clean-up and getting ready to reopen, we hope in October.

We really enjoyed last season and have great memories of our lovely customers new and old. We fondly look back at hosting some fun birthday and Christmas parties, our really popular live music nights and live dance shows and we hope that you enjoyed everything as much as we did.

Rahul and most of the same fabulous team will be welcoming you back soon. We have some great plans too for the upcoming season.

We will have further improvements to our well received vegetarian and vegan menu. As well as our famous North and South Indian dishes, we have salads, pizza, pasta, Arabic dishes and homemade bread, cakes and desserts. Coffee, teas, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are always available. Look out for more drinks to compliment Rahul's fabulous Golden Turmeric drink.

See you all soon!
