Rolexplore Studios “Web Series Challenge” is world’s first online contest which provides an opportunity to aspiring/independent directors – filmmakers to direct a web series without taking any burden of finding a script, making a team and arranging the budgets.

Conditions:
Directors are to make a 8-12 mins film/episode/pilot project on one of the themes provided by us.
We will be selecting upto 6 directors.
Selection will be done on basis of jury marks and audience vote.
It has to be an original content and not shared online in any form.
The selected directors will be given a chance to direct and be a part of the web series produced by Rolexplore Studios.
Filming Rules:
It has to be virtually directed.
The director, actor and cameraman do not have to meet in person.
It can silent or talkie or mix or both.
There can be multiple scenes in the project.
Each scene will have maximum one or two actor.
No shooting in crowds or crowded public places.
A mobile phone camera or dslr camera can be used.

Rules:
1. Given that Rolexplore Studios Web Series Challenge is an online contest it can showcase only film/episodes that are original in their story-telling and use of cinema language, and that meet the highest international standards, will have a chance of being selected.
2. All film/episodes should be independently produced. Independently produced film/episodes which have not been acquired by digital platforms are eligible for submission.
3. Film/episodes completed on or after 1st July 2020 are eligible for submission.
4. Film/Episode need to be a exclusive Rolexplore premiere. All the film/episode submitted will be intellectual online property of the contest through our channel Rolexplore Studios. Since we will be having our contest on YouTube so online youtube rights alongwith non-commercial public screening rights remain with us. The producers/directors/creators can still have the commercial and non commercial,theatrical rights of the film.
5. Entries are accepted in all languages. All non-English language films should contain English subtitles.
6. Only HD/SD format films are accepted.
7. There is no entry fee for submisions.
8. Final status of the selected films will be notified by 25th August 2020.
9. Selected film/Episode cannot be withdrawn once the contest programme is announced.
10. Rolexplore Studios will not pay a screening fee or delivery fee for the selected films.
11. Selected films from outside of India need to send downloadable digital files.
12. All selection decisions will be final and binding upon the participants. Rolexplore Studios is under no obligation to provide any feedback for selections or non-selections.
13. Submitted film/episode should not contain any content which violates/infringes copyright.
14. Any content that promotes racism, hatred amongst communities or religions, gender discrimination, animal cruelty, and/or are religious/commercial propaganda films, will not be accepted.
15. Rolexplore Studios reserves the rights to use the posters/video clippings/trailers of the selected films for promotion on social media and its partner platforms.
16. Selected film/episode must provide all the required details of their films as per the format prescribed by Rolexplore Studios, including the digital copy of the film. Exact specifications will be communicated for all selected films.
17. By submitting the film/episode to Rolexplore Studios, the applicant hereby confirms that she/he is the rightful owner of the film or has the right & authority to submit the film/episode to Rolexplore Studios for selection. The applicant also indemnifies Rolexplore Studios from any legal claim or dispute that may arise from the submitted film.
18. In case of film/episode produced by a film institute, government agency, educational institute or any other organisation, the applicant must provide written permission via mail (post selection) from the concerned authorities confirming the participation of the film/episode in WSC by Rolexplore Studios. Any kind of misrepresentation or failure to adhere to the norms of Web Series Challenge will lead to disqualification of the film/episode.
19. The submitted film/episodes should not be under any kind of legal dispute.
20. The music used in the film/episode should be original or copyright free music.
