Mission CAFÉ was established approx three decades ago; it has all the ingredients to be a hugely popular eatery...! Located adjacent to the Chandni metro, Mission Cafe... Situated in Ganesh Chandra Avenue just beside one of the gates of Chandni Chowk Metro Station... This place is renowned for its Dry Chana and 'Kulcha' (which is a Bhatura) for years, and rightly so. The dry Chana is actually very

nice... it melts in your mouth but the bhaturas are so delectable always. So instead, have it with Masala Kulcha or Tandoori Butter Naan and it will taste as good

The only shortcoming, lack of sitting arrangements is more than made up with its fantastic food (especially its world renowned Chana KULCHA)as well its olden golden favs like Paratha roll and gulab jamun. The location of the place is unbeatable and the timings adequate...! A review –
I thought unassuming cafes which gain prominence after terrorist attacks were the forte of Mumbai city. Calcutta surprised me yet again. While looking for the place to get some office work done, my colleague asked me if the place was near Mission cafe. I checked with the shop owner and he said yes, a little ahead of it. Throughout the time we were at the shop my mind kept going back to the cafe and that I needed to find some excuse to see it closely or sample something there at least. Work done, time to get back to office. Feigned that I was shivering and needed a hot cup of tea. And after five minutes we were at Mission Cafe. It's a small joint with around six high tables where you can stand and eat. The mirrors are interesting with apsara etchings on them. Interiors apart, the place has the yummiest channa bhatura I have had so far. Reminded me of the old Cream Centre (used to one of the best channa bhatura joints in Mumbai; resources say the place has gone down the drains) days; those perfect large bhaturas and the soft kala channa. The menu covers Indian, Indian Chinese, South Indian and pizzas and burgers. Resources say the gulab jamun is a try for those with a sweet tooth and regular naan and kali daal is also worth sampling. Ended the meal with a warm bhand of tea and went back to office a little more satisfied. Thinking now of Cafe Military and Cafe Mondegar, I guess Calcutta too has its share of small wayside cafes.
